Within our principles the prime responsibility for improvement lies with the school itself.
However, working in partnership is also the most effective way of improvement. Therefore all maintained schools categorised as Light Touch or Light Touch + will be allocated a named Support Partner.
This may be a SAfE consultant or a SAfE school-based consultant. Schools will be written to with the name and contact details of their Support Partner.
The Support Partner will visit the school from October half-term onwards to discuss with the Headteacher and Chair of Governors the schools self-evaluation, to sign-post support and partnerships and identify where the school could provide capacity to the system.
A key aim of the strategy is that all schools will be part of a partnership, will engage with peer review and will share best practice between themselves and our wider partners
