Narrowing the Gap for Vulnerable Learners

SAfE is committed to working with partners to ensure that all children and young people receive an inclusive education and a support offer that matches their needs.

We will work to improve outcomes and progress for identified vulnerable groups including disadvantaged and pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

As part of this work, SAfE will be focused on supporting schools to ameliorate the COVID gap ensuring that approaches align with Pupil Premium strategies and wide school improvement priorities.

This webpage signposts advice, guidance and resources to support schools to address the learning needs and to narrow the gap for vulnerable learners.

Pupil Premium Template Autumn 2021

You will be aware that the Pupil Premium Statement template was updated in September 2021 with a requirement for the updated statement to be on your school’s website by the end of December 2021.  It is a condition of the grant that the DfE template is used.  The DfE have now added pupil premium statement examples for primary, secondary and special schools.  They can be found here Using pupil premium: guidance for school leaders - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
