The Educational Equity Toolkit
A one-stop-toolkit to save you time and keep you up to date with what’s going on around inclusion, SEND, socio-economic, vulnerability, identity & mental health challenges at school and in the classroom. Whilst this is a multi-faceted area with many terms and intersections, we have grouped into 6 themes to help you find relevant information intuitively.
How to use the toolkit
1. Click on the themes to get a list of best practice, research, information and case studies.
2. Filter by Early Years & Primary or Secondary phase if useful.

As part of our commitment to educational equity, SAfE is working with Lead Advisor for Underserved Learners for HfL Education and author of ‘Obstetrics for Schools’, Rachel McFarlane, to deliver a year-long programme focussed on identifying our underserved learners, assessing how well they are included and developing strategies to raise outcomes for all. This programme is designed to allow schools to develop a culture of equity rather than equality, and to ensure that all learners have a sense of belonging at school, positively impacting attendance and behaviour.
