Increasing Neurodiversity Awareness: Upcoming SAfE & Belonging Effect Webinar

SAfE is delighted to be partnering with Belonging Effect once again to deliver an essential webinar, Increasing Neurodiversity Awareness, on Wednesday 11th March 4-5pm. This one‑hour session provides an accessible, practical introduction to neurodiversity – an increasingly important area for schools striving to embed inclusive practice.

Understanding and embracing neurodiversity is central to building classrooms where every learner feels valued and supported. Neurodivergent pupils, such as those with autism, ADHD and dyslexia, bring distinctive strengths and perspectives. By developing confidence in recognising and responding to these differences, educators can significantly improve pupils’ access, engagement and wellbeing.

About Belonging Effect

Belonging Effect (formerly Diverse Educators) is widely recognised for its commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging across the education sector. Their trainers bring deep expertise in supporting schools to create inclusive cultures and deliver impactful DEIB professional learning. Their work focuses on shaping intention into meaningful impact and helping educators create environments where every individual feels seen, valued and able to be fully themselves.

In particular, Belonging Effect’s neurodiversity training equips education teams with the knowledge, confidence and practical strategies they need to support neurodivergent pupils, colleagues and communities, challenging misconceptions, promoting inclusive communication and teaching, and nurturing psychologically safe environments.

What the Webinar Covers

Participants will:

  • Develop a clear understanding of what neurodiversity is and why embracing it is essential for inclusive teaching.
  • Explore common types of neurodivergence such as autism, ADHD and dyslexia.
  • Learn simple, effective adjustments that can make a meaningful difference to neurodivergent learners’ experiences and outcomes.

By deepening our understanding of neurodiversity, we strengthen our collective commitment to belonging, equity and excellence for all learners.
