New Quick Guide: Mental Health Support for Children, Young People & Families in Surrey

Children’s Mental Health Week took place between 9-15 February and Surrey County Council is marking it with the launch of a new printable Quick Guide to Mental Health Support for professionals working with children, young people, and families in Surrey.

This resource provides a summary of key support options, including:

  • Groups and one-to-one sessions
  • Online and telephone support
  • Crisis support and referral pathways
  • Help for parents/carers around emerging issues, including gaming
  • Support for young people worried about a friend.

The guide was co-developed by partners across Surrey County Council, NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Mindworks.

Professionals are encouraged to share this resource with their wider networks as well as with the children and families they are supporting.

More information about support for children and young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health can be found on the Healthy Surrey website.
