Cyber Security Webinar Autumn 24

Cyber Security Webinar

A one-hour webinar to equip school governors with essential cybersecurity knowledge and strategies to protect school systems and align with DfE standards.

Cyber security is crucial in protecting sensitive information and ensuring the safe operation of school systems. As cyber threats continue to evolve, governors must be aware of cyber risks and ensure that schools are adequately prepared in the event of a cyber incident.

This one-hour webinar, delivered by Daniel Sykes from the Surrey Cyber Crime Unit, will equip governors with:

  • an overview of the current cyber threat landscape and its impact on schools
  • the key principles of cybersecurity including the DfE’s cyber security standards
  • the strategic role of governors in mitigating cyber incidents and holding school leaders to account to ensure the right systems are in place to keep the school secure.

This training will support governors to meet the DfE recommendation that at least one governor should complete cyber security training.
