Early Years Moderation Summer 26

This moderation event will support Reception class teachers to moderate their assessments of children against the early learning goals with colleagues from schools across Surrey. Cross school moderation gives schools a chance to moderate with colleagues from a wide range of settings.

The EYFS Handbook states moderation of EYFS profile assessments should be a collaborative process. This is an opportunity for teachers or EYFS leaders to draw on their knowledge of the child and their own expert professional judgement and discuss with other colleagues to moderate their judgements against the Early Learning Goals, providing an opportunity to moderate with a wider range of schools rather than just neighbouring schools.
