Little Wandle Letters & Sounds Revised Network 22-23

Little Wandle Letters & Sounds Revised is a popular Systematic Synthetic Phonics (SSP) programme in Surrey schools.  This network will deliver key messages for schools new to Little Wandle, support in setting up reading and keep-up groups.  It will support in delivering training and coaching staff and is a chance to network with other colleagues who have recently started this programme and colleagues who have been teaching Little Wandle since 2021 (invited speakers).

The beliefs, knowledge, understanding and/or teaching practices this programme aims to address:

• Current research
• Best practice model
• How to communicate with parents and best support the home-school relationship

Intended Impact on practice:

• Confident, knowledgeable teachers
• Support new teachers in developing practice

Intended improvement and/or evaluation of impact for pupils, including those with SEND and/or disadvantaged backgrounds:

• Curriculum adapted to pupil needs
• Consistent practice
