Primary Headteachers Conference Summer 24

Nurturing Leaders, Nurturing Schools

This half-day Primary Phase Heads’ Conference will bring together the Surrey community of Primary Headteachers, for a hugely valuable afternoon of face-to-face networking and professional learning and development.

The theme of this year’s programme is well-being and nurture. We know that from the recent survey of Surrey Primary Headteachers that well-being amongst heads is at an all-time low. This conference gives an opportunity to reflect on the reciprocal relationship between effective leadership and personal wellbeing. It also provides an opportunity to consider the interdependent relationship, between well-being, nurture and children’s behaviour and takes a fresh perspective on behaviour that concerns, distresses or challenges with some practical strategies for sustainable supporting children.
