Primary Assistant and Deputy Head Network and Briefings 23-24

Our professional learning networks (PLN) offer senior leaders the opportunity to think, reflect, share and network with their peers through evidence informed sessions. We welcome Deputy Heads to share their expertise during sessions. If you would like to present in one of the sessions, please contact us.

Local and national updates will be provided via recorded webinars or digital newsletters in between the face-to-face sessions based on feedback from Deputy Headteachers that attended the face-to-face network meeting in May that this is useful too.

We will also be hosting a Primary Deputy Headteacher Conference which can be booked separately.

The beliefs, knowledge, understanding and/or teaching practices this programme aims to address:

  • Work successfully with other schools and organisations in a climate of mutual challenge and support.

Intended Impact on practice:

  • Develop appropriate evidence-informed strategies for improvement.
  • Develop the leadership skills of primary Deputy Heads to ensure that they are effective in their role.

Intended improvement and/or evaluation of impact for pupils, including those with SEND and/or disadvantaged backgrounds**:

  • SAfE endeavours to support an accessible education for all; this theme is a golden thread through our training and networks.
