SAfE/St Peter’s Coaching Network Spring 23

The coaching network brings together secondary school leaders who are interested in introducing a coaching model as a mechanism to develop quality of teaching and learning in schools.  The network is designed to be a forum for discussion and collaboration, rather than ‘training’.

The beliefs, knowledge, understanding and/or teaching practices this programme aims to address:

  • Coaching is an evidence informed approach used at all levels of teaching and leadership used to improve reflection and impact on classroom practice.

Intended Impact on practice:

  • Schools who wish to establish a coaching culture in their settings are able to do so at a time scale led by them, using the expertise gained from this network

Intended improvement and/or evaluation of impact for pupils, including those with SEND and/or disadvantaged backgrounds**:

  • Teachers will be more reflective on all areas of practice, especially educational equity in the classroom.
