SAfE Annual Governance Conference 2025
We are delighted to invite you to our flagship governance event to which we welcome over 100 participants in Surrey governance.
The conference provides an excellent opportunity to network with peers, share and gain new insights into school governance and celebrate the hard work of Surrey’s governors, trustees and governance professionals with our “Annual Governance Recognition Awards”.
2025 Keynote Speaker:
Laura Page, Director of Schools Supported – a consultancy supporting schools and MATs nationally for school improvement for SEND and inclusion.
“Delivering great governance for SEND”
Laura will give a keynote speech and lead a practical workshop focused on the role of governors and trustees in delivering great SEND practice and provision in schools.
What makes great governance for SEND and inclusion?
Laura will:
- explore the current national picture of SEND and why collaborative work is essential
- consider how everyone in school contributes to securing good provision and practice
- consider the key principles of governance with respect to SEND and inclusion
- look at practical ways that governors and trustees can best evaluate, review and support the provision of education for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Following on from Laura’s session, the conference will formally recognise those governors, trustees and governance professionals who have gone above and beyond in the last academic year, along with the presentation of the “Annual Governor of the Year Recognition Award” by Surrey County Council.
