Seamless Transitions from Early Years to KS1 Summer 24

Aimed at Nursery, Reception and Year 1 Practitioners. This event will provide opportunities for practitioners to discuss expectations for the following year and review their curriculums for the future year to best suit their pupils. This session will be research informed and focus on helping practitioners to enable their transitions to be seamless. This event is timed in summer 2 as all practitioners should know the year group that they will be teaching in the next academic year.

The beliefs, knowledge, understanding and/or teaching practices this programme aims to address:

  • Practitioners will reflect on the year and feel prepare to give all pupils the best start to education in the following academic year.

  • The course will consider transitions for all pupils, including those with SEN and disadvantaged pupils.
