SEND Specialist Centre Network Meetings 24-25

Specialist Centre Network meetings run by SAfE in conjunction with Surrey. These focus on sharing strategic Surrey developments and key messages for developing practice.

The beliefs, knowledge, understanding and/or teaching practices this programme aims to address:

  • Facilitating opportunities for sharing good practice across specialist centres to further develop inclusion in Surrey.
  • Networking in order to share key elements of Surrey’s Inclusion Strategy and explore how it will be embedded in practice.

Intended Impact on practice:

  • Ensuring all Specialist Centres are kept informed and updated on the latest developments in SEND which will support ongoing improvements in inclusive practices. Ongoing focus to ensure that learners accessing specialist centres have their needs met in the wider mainstream setting.

Intended improvement and/or evaluation of impact for pupils, including those with SEND and/or disadvantaged backgrounds**:

  • Improved practices across SEND Centres positively impacting on pupils with SEND.
  • Opportunities to identify and share good practices across settings in order to further develop and improve how SEND learners are supported to access and engage with the curriculum.
  • Greater inclusion of learners in mainstream classrooms having their needs met.
