Small Schools Network 24-25

Small schools face a number of choices, particularly around subject leadership, curriculum organisation and model of governance whilst maintaining educational and financial sustainability. SAfE are offering a series of sessions providing leaders the opportunity to meet and share experiences around key issues and to explore choices open to them through a small school lens.

Three twilight sessions discussing the particular challenges and possible solutions when leading a small school.

We invite you to participate in all three sessions, or choose sessions based on your needs:

Session 1 – Tuesday 15th October 2024

Session 2 – Tuesday 11th February 2025

Session 3 – Tuesday 20th May 2025

The beliefs, knowledge and or teaching practices this programme aims to address:

  • We will look at the particularly challenges faced in small schools (subject leadership, curriculum and explore possible solutions)

Intended Impact on Practice:

  • This will support leaders in small schools to further explore possible solutions to the areas described above.

Intended improvement and/or evaluation of impact for pupils, including those with SEND and/or disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • Supporting children with SEND and from disadvantaged backgrounds will be explored in the context of a small school.
