Surrey Healthy Schools Approach Webinar Spring 24

This one-hour webinar – delivered by Sarah Lyles and Kate Crockatt from Surrey Healthy Schools – provide governors from Primary, Secondary and Specialist Schools with an overview of Surrey’s Healthy Schools Approach to well-being, health, inclusion and achievement. 

The webinar will cover the following:

  • The benefits of taking a planned, sustainable, positive and preventative approach to wellbeing, and the role of the formal and informal curriculum, along with appropriate services
  • Partnership working to strengthen proactive safeguarding practices – this session has a particular focus upon sexual health and reducing unwanted teenage pregnancies
  • Gaining access to the Surrey Healthy Schools Self-Evaluation Tool, providing interactive and online support for leadership and development, including the free PSHE training offer for school staff
  • The ways that the Surrey Healthy Schools Approach and Self-Evaluation Tool can positively impact upon their strategic governance role and school vision.  

Intended Impact on practice: 

  • Governors will use the knowledge and skills from this webinar to support a strategic approach to Healthy Schools in their own schools.
