What Next for Curriculum and Assessment 26-27

From reform to readiness: a practical webinar series supporting primary leaders to understand the direction of travel, review current provision and begin planning confidently for curriculum and assessment change

As the Curriculum and Assessment Review begins to shape the future of primary education, school leaders are being asked to think ahead. This forward-looking webinar series will help leaders understand the emerging direction of reform and begin preparing strategically for statutory implementation in 2028.
Across three focused sessions, participants will explore the likely implications for curriculum design, assessment, inclusion and enrichment, drawing on national updates, expert commentary and current thinking from leading curriculum specialists. The programme will support schools to reflect on the strengths of their current provision, identify priorities for development and consider how to build a coherent, inclusive and future-ready curriculum.
Designed for primary headteachers, senior leaders and curriculum leaders, the series combines strategic insight with practical reflection, helping schools move from awareness to readiness with confidence.
By the end of the programme, leaders will have a clearer understanding of the direction of travel, the questions schools should be asking now, and the practical steps that can be taken ahead of 2028.
