Surrey moderators will be in attendance to support teachers in validating their judgements.

  • Teachers will moderate with other schools to support them in validating their judgements.
  • Teachers will be supported to understand the use of the Teacher Assessment Framework and particular weakness guidance.
  • Exemplification materials will be used to support teachers to further understand the assessment of writing.

Intended Impact on practice:

  • Teachers will be confident in their judgements and have a range of evidence to support these.
  • Teachers will participate in professional discussions with other Year 6 teachers to further develop their own practice.

Intended improvement and/or evaluation of impact for pupils, including those with SEND and/or disadvantaged backgrounds**:

  • Assessment and moderation will be accurate and fair for all pupils.
