Raising Attainment Conference

On behalf of the DfE, Schools Alliance for Excellence would like to share an invitation to the RISE conference on raising attainment for disadvantaged pupils. Join this in-person event and participate in discussions, working together to improve outcomes for our young people.

Opened by the Regional Director, you will also hear from headteachers about what works well in their settings. There will be time for discussion, exchange of ideas, strategies and the techniques used to overcome barriers to attainment.

Researchers from Public First will share emerging findings from the Independent Inquiry into White Working-Class Educational Outcomes. They will share new research on the perceptions of white working-class young people and parents on their educational experiences, views of success and approach to their future.

Improving attainment is a priority for the Government, and central to the Opportunity Mission and the forthcoming Schools White Paper. We will set out the RISE national priority of pupil attainment within the context of wider government reforms.

We have provisionally reserved a place for you at your regional conference. Places are limited so please register here as soon as possible to secure yours. Please do contact the Department for Education should you have any queries.

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

We look forward to welcoming you.
