Shaping National System Change
The Association’s key principles reflect a belief that school-led improvement will only work if the system is inclusive and collaborative and that ‘locality matters’. SAfE is a subscribing member to this organisation which comprises over 30 partnerships across England and provides SAfE with the opportunity to continually develop and learn from best practice.
A key principle for SAfE is that all of our work is underpinned by and informs the development of, a high-quality evidence base to support school improvement in Surrey.
Chartered College of Teaching
Schools Alliance for Excellence professional learning principles fully align with the vision and values of the Chartered College of Teaching and therefore we are working to design training and programmes that support teachers and leaders working towards Chartered Status assessments. We are working towards accreditation as a ‘Chartered Status CPD Partner’ and developing our professional learning programme so it can support candidates on their pathway to Chartered Status. AI’s Role in the Education Revolution : Discover, Engage, Transform
Cross-Sector & Independent
AI in Education is an independent, cross-sector body. It is composed of leading teachers in schools from all sectors and settings, as well as heads of each of the UK’s examination boards. Their work is guided by a panel of independent digital and AI experts and a cross-party group of political advisers who will advise schools on which AI developments are likely to be beneficial, and which may be damaging.
to ensure that AI will maximise the interests of all involved in education, students, teachers, support staff, parents, governors and the wider community.
to do so by ensuring that AI enhances human intelligence and experience, and does so in a way that above all is to the benefit of the most vulnerable – including those with the least means, additional learning needs and those from diverse backgrounds.
SAfE supports this ground breaking initiative led by Epsom College and Bourne Education Trust and is a representative member of the National Steering Group.
